About

On December 17 1903, news came through that two brothers from America had flown a curious air machine for more than a minute.

From that point onwards air travel developed in leaps and bounds, leading to today’s modern aircraft.

This film from the 1920s contrasts the Wright brothers early planes with the then ‘modern’ planes of the 1920s.

Teacher notes

This video is a great addition to a lesson on inventions and the history of air travel.

It play’s from YouTube and is just over 2 minutes long.
