    • Windermere Jetty, designed by Carmody Groarke architects, will a be a major new destination on the lake where there will be many different things to experience. The world-class Museum will display and conserve the internationally important collection of Windermere boats for future generations and give public access to the beautiful lake shore. Windermere Jetty will be an inspiring, engaging and enjoyable place to visit and will connect people to the lake in new ways. The Museum will tell the stories associated with the boats and the people who built and used them. Craftsmanship and traditional boat building and engineering skills are at the heart of the Museum which will have a publicly viewable workshop where boats will be conserved and restored. Windermere Jetty is due to re-open in 2016. In the meantime Lakeland Arts are 'Just Visiting' Brockhole, the Lake District Visitor Centre, where you will find activities to take part in, more information about Windermere Jetty and opportunities to leave your mark on the project.
