Eastleigh Museum


    • Take a tour through Eastleigh’s past and discover what town life was like in the 1930s. Housed in the old Salvation Army Citadel, explore Eastleigh’s history as an epicentre of railway development. In 1884, the London and South Western Railway company decided to build a wagon and carriage works at Eastleigh, leading to a huge boom in the town’s industry. Through the museum exhibits, explore how the railway led to massive growth in the area. There is always something new to see at the museum, with a regularly changing programme of special exhibitions, workshops, talks, events and fun, family-friendly activities.
