- This poster from a 1915 edition of the Illustrated London News was designed to encourage young men to enlist in the army. It's an example of war-time propaganda.
  
  If you look closely at the cartoon, you can see a reference to a famous recruitment poster featuring Lord Kitchener, like this one from the Imperial War Museum.
