Teacher notes
- A group of Year 9s went to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge to investigate the clay objects there. Amidst the ducks and dragons in the galleries, the students have discovered a large ceramic owl.
  
  Find out more about the owl and its history in this short video. You can also watch as the Year 9s try their hands at making clay sculptures.
- This short film from our partners at Culture Street introduces children to the ceramic galleries at the Fitzwilliam Museum and encourages them to look at and think about the sculptures.
  
  This film could be used as a way to encourage children to make their own sculptures, maybe using salt dough instead of clay. It could also be used to start thinking about other sculptors who have used this medium, like Andy Goldsworthy.
